| Media education & Public Access |
|
Students tried to create their own media product, introducing
their activity and expressing how their stereotypes of other people were removed through the
cross-cultural exchange program. They learned how to send the voice of youth to people in the community, gaining what we call 'public access' to the local broadcasting station. When their work was completed, their program was broadcast all over Nagano by the local TV station, TV Shinshu Broadcasting Co., LTD. This practice might be the first means by which everyone can understand senders' and receivers' logic of media, pursuing the ultimate democracy in Japan. |
