Kiyo
Hello! My name is Kiyo. I was born in Nagano city on November 16, 1986. I am a first grader of Nagano Nishi High School. At school, I am a member of tea ceremony club. We practice holding tea ceremony once a week. Tea ceremony has special rules for making tea. I enjoy this activity and keep this precious Japanese traditional culture! My hometown is known for Zenkoji Temple which was built 1400 years ago. Many people around Japan come to Zenkoji every day. Now I translate the origin and history of this temple and Nagano-city into English every day, because I like study English very much. If you are interested in Japanese culture and history, let's talk about them.

Hello!! My name is Keiko. I’m 16 years old girl. I would like to exchange e-mail with you to know about your country. So I want to talk about our country to you. I live in Nagano city, in Nagano prefecture. I’m a student of Nagano Nishi High School. I think I have a cheerful character. So I never stop smiling. Well, I will tell you about my family. I have a father, mother and younger sister. My sister's name is Atsuko. So I call her Attchan. She is a junior high school student. My father’s job is desk job in hospital. And sometimes he visit aged people's house and keep there’s company. He sometimes says to me. I become happy when I hear an aged person say 'Thank you' for me. I’m proud of my father. My mother is kind to my family. But sometimes she becomes angry. I like my family very much and I’m proud of my family.
My hobby is singing songs, listening to music, playing the
violin, playing and watching basketball and talking with my friends.
So I have a lot of hobbies. But especially I like to play the violin.
I have practiced the violin for 13 years. So I’m good at playing
the violin. Now I'm a member of chamber music at high school. When
I was junior high school student, I belonged to the choir club.
So I’m good at singing, too.

Hello! My name is Rina. I'm a first year student of Nagano Nishi High School. I'd like to exchange email with you to know about your food and culture. My hobbies are making cake and cookies, listening to music, and so on. I make a cake when it's my family members' birthdays. In my family I have a father, a mother, two younger brothers and a younger sister. My father's works as a policeman. One of my brothers is an elementary school student, the other brother is a Junior High School student. My sister is six years old. I live in "Imoi," the west of Nagano city. Next, I'll tell you about some school life. My most favorite subject is English! But I can't speak English well. So I want to practice speaking English more. I belong to the brass band club, and I play Saxophone. I practice it almost everyday, so it's hard but it's fun. On the weekends, I usually go to school for club activities. When I have free time, I spend it reading comic books and listen to music. My favorite music artist is MISIA, a famous Japanese popular music singer. How do you spend your weekend?

I am a student of Nagano Nishi High School and we can enjoy fine view of our city from our school buildings. There are about 1000 boys and girls in our high school. I am little shy, but one of my friends says that I am talkative.
Let me tell you about my family. I have two sisters, my father, and mother.
My sister is a university student. So my sister studies hard every
day. We are getting along very nicely with each other.
